Sit back, relax and prepare to be amazed as a skilled mehendi artist deftly embellishes your hands or feet with intricate patterns using natural inks. This tour starts with a private boat ride across the lake to a traditional ghat near the old city. From there, a professional guide will walk you through Udaipur’s lesser visited narrow lanes, past 'haveli' mansions and shrines, revealing stories of folk deities and fabled heroes along the way. As the tour involves an extensive walk through the old city, guests are advised to wear comfortable footwear to have a memorable experience.
Begun in the 16th century and completed over the course of 300 years, City Palace in Udaipur is actually several palaces laid out in such a way that they appear as a single façade. Fusing traditional Rajasthani and Mughal styles, City Palace has ornate glass and ceramic mosaics, elaborate gateways, courtyards, corridors and garden oases.
Located on the banks of the River Banas in the Aravalli foothills, Nathdwara literally means: Gateway to Shrinathji; Shrinathji being a 14th century child deity and avatar of Lord Krishna, in whose honour a large temple was built here. Nathdwara is also known for its pichhwai: large handpainted cloths that depict scenes from the life of Lord Krishna, as well as handmade ceramics, milk based sweets and haweli devotional music.
A visit to this celebrated landmark is highly recommended. Originally built in the late 18th Century by Maharana Sajjan to serve as an observatory, the Mahrana chose his perch well. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and surrounding lakes, the rivers and wooded hillsides. Watching the sunset from here is especially rewarding.
One of the most scenic hills located on the outskirts of Udaipur near Badi Lake. Surrounded by small hills, you can easily hike to have this scenic view of the Bahubali Hills. A great place for nature and adventure lovers.
It is located on Badi Lake, about 13 km from Udaipur. You can witness an incredible sunrise and sunset from the hill. Bahubali Hill is a great place for photographers and selfie enthusiasts. It is a pretty photogenic place, and you can get a lot of great photos there.
The lake is not as popular as its famous counterparts like Lake Pichola or Lake Fateh Sagar, but it is slowly catching people's attention, as is the hidden natural beauty.
